Delete your SteadyTails account
You can delete your account and the care information associated with it at any time. This page is available publicly so you can start a deletion even if you cannot access the mobile app.
What is deleted
- Your user profile and sign-in identity
- Your household memberships
- Your pets' records, care events and logs
- Pet photos you uploaded
- The device tokens used to send you reminders
What is kept, and for how long
- Billing records
- Purchases are handled by Apple, Google and our payments provider, RevenueCat. They keep their own record of the transaction under their own retention rules, and deleting your SteadyTails account does not remove it or cancel a subscription. Cancel through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account.
- Financial and tax records
- We retain the minimum transaction records required by law, for the period our jurisdiction requires.
- Backups
- Deleted data can persist in encrypted database backups until those backups roll off our database provider's retention window. It is not restored to the app and is not used for anything else.
- Analytics and crash reports
- These are not linked to your profile and are held on their own schedule by our analytics and crash reporting providers.
